Musée des Arts Décoratifs
I will be the first to admit that I am not a fashion girl, in the sense that I do not know all the designers, their styles or the trends evident in the past fashion week. HOWEVER, I can appreciate a good looking outfit and still have respect for some crazy but very revolutionary, beautiful or well crafted dresses. Fashion certainly does take my breath away, I just don’t tote around Vogue (all the time) and call it my Bible.
When I heard about the 1990-2000 Fashion retrospective at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, I wanted to go! I am, after all, taking the Media Seminar for Fashion & Power this semester. So although this is up a week late, I most certainly did go with some friends and enjoyed looking at pieces from some of the most influential designers of our time.
Except for Issey Miyake’s designs, I can’t really remember who did what. So those of you who are in the biz, feel free to tell me so I can label them. Not to mention that the thumbnails are teeny weeny when I upload them.
